Q: Why was Click-Based Rule Resolution introduced?

A: The previous 80% heuristic method often failed to resolve facet rules accurately. Click-based resolution ensures precision by resolving rules directly when a shopper clicks on a facet value.

Q: What is the default behavior for Search and Browse?

A: By default, Browse uses Click-Based Rule Resolution, and Search continues to use the 80% Heuristic Rule Resolution for backward compatibility.

Q: Can I switch between Click-Based and Heuristic modes?

A: Yes. Super Admins can switch modes under Merch Strategy > Facet Level Rule Resolution anytime.

Q: Will this change affect existing rules?

A: No. Existing heuristic rules remain unaffected. Click-based rules can be added without disrupting current site configurations.

Q: Who can configure this setting?

A: Only Super Admin users can enable or modify the Facet Level Rule Resolution setting.

Q: Are nested and multi-select facets supported?

A: Not yet.

Q: How are conflicting rule orders handled?

A: If multiple facets are clicked in different orders, the most recent click determines the resolution order while retaining previously displayed facets.
